Biomedical industry requires Huge development and there is great demand of Medical Devices.

The Present Scenario is our Country is importing almost all Equipments which very Costly.

In terms of Research, In india very less scope.

But, Biomedical is less Competative,so to get into Indian and Foreign MNCs is easy Compared to Other Branches of Engineering.

Compared to Mechanical,Civil and Electrical,which are low in Demand,Biomedical is Emerging very Rapidly.

In recent times,few places Biomedical Manufacturing also started,so for Research and development its now getting in India too.

Biomedical engineers are not well paid at their initial stages if they are not placed by College campus Placement into Big OEM or Multinational Companies.

PAYSCALE In BIOMEDICAL :- salary in Biomedical depends on kind of Job Profile and Company .

Tier  1 Companies :- Original Manufacturing Companies and Multinational Companies like GE,Drager,Siemens,Philips,Boston Scientific,Medtronic,Abbott,Phoenix,Allenger,Olympus,Karl Storz,Freshnius,Baxter.

Salary :-  22k - 30k  (Fresher-2 yrs experience )

Growth - Highest

Time to Time training,Seminars,Conferences, Interaction with Doctors.

 MNC includes Indian and Foreign both.

Medical Imaging: GE Healthcare, Siemens, Philips

Cardiac Rhythm Management: Medtronic, St. Jude Medical, Boston Scientific

Orthopaedic implants: Johnson & Johnson, Stryker, Zimmer, Biomet, Smith and Nephew

Stents: Abbott (Medtronic and Boston Scientific as well, J&J quit the market a few years ago)

Heart valves: Edwards Lifesciences (St. Jude Medical and Medtronic as well)

Neuromodulation: Medtronic, St. Jude Medical and Boston Scientific

Robotic surgery - Intuitive Surgical

Salary :- 23,000rs-30,000rs    For Fresher 

Service engineers :- mostly  23000-27000rs

Application Engineers :- gets more salary like 28000rs-35000rs for fresher or 1yr Experience.

Within 2-5yrs of Experience one can get upto 60k-80k in such MNCs.
